Nerium Oleander — detail

The sentinel of the southern roads

The oleander has lined Mediterranean roads and gardens since antiquity. It grows naturally in dry riverbeds, which explains its extreme tolerance of heat.

Its flowering runs from May to October without pause. As a hedge, it forms a dense, evergreen screen that blocks wind and dust.

"No plant says 'Mediterranean' quite as loudly."
